I am well aware that the S is not original, and would like to know why anyone would think the Morris Cooper badge is not original. Your thoughts please.

I am tempted to paint my emblem, but think the aged look goes well with the worn out look of my car.

Good paint job on yours BBY755 and many thanks for the tips and colour codes.

cheers

Yeah that's why I asked. Looks original to me. As mentioned on the repo ones the ox is way fatter. I wonder what that "s" is from.

Mine has the large circular section behind the bull painted black. Lost a lot of red on the bull as you can see. The star pattern around the circle does not have any paint in them, although it sometimes looks like they do in some photos.

I can't say mine is 100% original, but can only assume it is especially given it's condition.

cheers

The Badge is genuine, That was never in question.
The Original post was asking how these badges where painted.
The Black in the centre of that badge is not original, somewhere along the line that black has been added.

Not sure where the S comes from, looks like one of the previous owners has glued it on.

The bonnet has no extra holes in it.

Does the Morris Cooper badge share the same attachment pins as the standard Morris Deluxe badge, which this car is ?

cheers

Same mounting holes, I put a Cooper one on my 850 back in the 60s.

Looks great!

Gives you a nice fuzzy warm feeling when you look at it proudly on the front of the bonnet every time you go for a run! :D
