How does doubleing the clutch when changeing effect it?

Crikey, Fred Sayers not only didn't fit them on my race car but cut the thread right off!!! Damn so called "Mini Specialists" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Double Ha-ha... early 850s didn't have them either. Shaft was shorter, no thread even.
My car hasn't had them on for 10 years... :lol:
They serve one purpose only- if the clutch is slow coming back (eg the hose is collapsing in from old age) they stop it throwing further in if you immediately pump it.
