jill, do you know if the van ones are the same as in the mokes?

If so I have a couple of used ones here, you can have one for nix.
Let me know - if so I will pull one out & test it for ya.

Mike

PS I should be catching up with benoz in the next week or so - he might be able to pass it on to you.

Thanks heaps Mike, but I took the sender unit down to the auto sparky to see what a repair might be worth compared to buying a new one, and he decided we might as well rip it open and have a looky inside. They are extremely simple inside, mine had no corrosion or damage that we could tell except for a really tiny wire that connects two points within the sender unit had totally rusted away. Sparky soldered in a new wire and its all go :) I got it home, refitted the tank this afternoon, will wait till tomorrow to refill the tank (sealed the sender unit back in the tank with sealant as recommended by sparky) but the guage definitely moved with an empty tank :D

Cost $0, and now I know how to pull the tank out :)

Just confirming my fuel guage now works :) no leaking, no problems.... so if you have a sender thats not working I recommend pull it out, open it up.. its usually the little slide/lever thing that just needs bending back to make contact again, but even if you end up replacing it... its good to have a fuel guage that works :D
