They were nothing like the Australian cars....

The diff ratio could be a 3.65-1
It could have a rod change box.

Cool 8) Something to look foward to!! So what are the sort of things I SHOULD do to the 1300 motor when it's OUT and BEFORE it goes into my mini??

What sort of time would it take a "mini person" to do the swap?? I really don't want to be ripped off like last time...$1600 and a mini with NORMAL somewhat tempramental gearbox.

Cheers

Lots of towns in NZ go from 50 to 30 zones in the built up areas last time I drove there...so very English Town speeds anyway :!:

Sorta....50 is the LOWEST spped limit unless your going through road works & it's seperatly sign posted. other wise 50 zones, 70 & 80 zones, and 100 zones...thats it :) but yeah, not much different from the rest of the world.

While it's out, I'd strip it, check the crank & bearings, bores & rings, and oil pump.. Bore it or re-ring it if needed.
Bung it back together, but FFS put another cam & new followers in it while it's apart..
I like Graham Russell's RE13...

Could you post a good pic of those guages? They might look pretty good in a custom Mini dash!

What bout those seats, too? Would they fit into a Mini?
