Those GT tags look much more robust than the yellow plastic ones so I wonder if most have survived, making this not such a big issue for fussy GT owners. In any case there could be an opportunity for someone with sheet metal skills and stamps to make those for cars where they are missing or damaged.

Of course all of this is mainly of interest to those of us with the illness that gets us hooked on researching the minute detail of original cars. I'm probably one of those who some people call a "rivet counter", maybe meant in a derogatory way. If the result is increased knowledge for the benefit of the Mini scene I take it as a compliment.
