Yeah the Torino's left about 4mm gap between them so it worked out but only just. The seat rails I think were $40. Just welded new tags on to match the rear bolting points and were were away fully adjustable front to rear.

Ta for the headsup on the rails Ministar.
Autotecnica sliding ones are $80 (each I think), so I will hit the wreckers first.
Need a fair bit of slide as they don't fold forward very far for rear access.
Cheers!

Nah neither do mine Edgie. You'd have to be a Kampuchean to get in the back. Also if you want a bit more info on doing the rails I just finished a bit on my website about making up the rails if your interested...

Cheers Matt

I found the seats out of a 1988 Suzuki Forsa Turbo fit beautifully in my Mini. I just made a couple modifications to them so they would bolt to the stock Mini mounts. This way I can fit them in any Mini or I can swap stock Mini seats back into mine. The Suzuki seats fit quite nicely, they are not as big or as heavy as many other seats I have found. There is room medially for the handbrake and room laterally between the seat and the doors. They also have nice head rests that would be useful in a colission unlike the headrests in a stock Mini seat.

How much modification could be done to a standard high back Mini seat to make it more comfy and has anyone upgraded one instead of putting in different seats from another car???

This is how my one looks at the moment...
