Hiya all

Gotta say great forum alot of very nice people. My name is Steve I live in Wentworthville Sydney. I have an 850 that has been at the panel beaters longer then I have owned the car (11 months) but the wait will worth it. We have taken it back to bare metal and lead wiped most of the car. Hoping it will be in primer very soon and painted in about 2 months. I will try to put up pics when I can figure out how to do it, computers and I don't mix :)

Cheers Steve

G'day all,

Chris from Sydney signing in. Miniless at present, but hoping to fix that soon.

My FIRST car was 1970 Cooper S! Learned to drive in it, even though had no fluid in suspension( handled well but wondered why I kept shearing off wheel bolts!), had 1" accelerator pedal travel so was hard to hill start (didn't know just needed new spring!), Had leaking right fuel tank which I replaced myself (wondered why it smelt of petrol so much and why I never got blown up!)

Starter motor was broken, so used to park on hill above a driveway so could clutch start - on the flat could push start and jump in!

My Baby (BBY755) finally died when the big end bearing went, so Dad sold it to the mechanic at the Esso petrol station next door who plundered it and put the engine and most bits into his Mini van.......

Yes, this was a long time ago......

Keeping an eye out for a replacement......

Hi all
I'm Martin from Adelaide. I finally got round to joining Ausmini so this is my first post.
I've got 4 minis; 1963 morris 850, 1971 mini k, 1974 clubman and the one i'm working on at the moment a 1976 clubman S.
I restored the mini k a couple of years back now,it was definatly a budget resto, :D that was my everyday hack for 18 months until it let me down a couple of times. it now sits in the garden, I really should do something with it again. I guess i just like working on minis really.

hey there everyone

I'm Matt and i own a 1977 clubman of a metallic green variety, ill see about putting up some pics. I also owned a red 75 model but have just recently sold that. I seem to collect old cars as i also own a 75 mazda rx4, but i wont talk about that one here.

People around the logan area of brisbane might see me driving around and some of you might even know me. If anyone knows of Murrays Motors in springwood, bit of a mini specialist although there doesnt seem to be enough mini's around, i work there.

It's nice to see all the minis and hopefully ill see heaps at the muster

Hey guys,

My name is Jonathan, I'm from Sydney. 3 days ago I purchased a R56 2007 Cooper S Chilli from BMW Sydney. Before that I was rolling around in an Alfa 147 and am a site admin on www.ausalfa.com.

Loving the car, an absolute blast!

Bit pissed off at the moment as the the morning after I picker it up some moron decides to not look when opening their door and have left a deep chip and scratch around 3.4 inch long on the drivers door running across to the rear quarter panel :( Currently looking into options at getting this repaired so if anyone here has any recommendations or opinions please PM me, would be much appreciated :)

Look forward to showing my car off :) See you around!

Jono
