Finally ordered my new disc brakes kit and a few extra bits from Josh at Mini imports. Great price - nearly as good as from UK but without the worry of after sales service if required....plus it helps keeping our local guys in the game.
Gave the drum brakes their 6 weekly adjustment to make sure the daily driver continues to stop until I get those discs fitted. :D

Yep, they are, although I got them from Minisport. I prefer not having to wait for a shipping quote; Minisport gives it to you instantly so you can price up various options. If I need a heart atatck, I price up some of the panels I need...

Was that in a Kit Kiwi or did you buy both parts individually? (im lookin at getting the same thing with the adjustable bottom arms...?)

Both parts were individual. Described as heavy duty and they're pretty beefy so shouldn't be a problem when I get it certified this week.

Spent most of this afternoon organising my workshop. I've got a small sill repair to do on the Clubman Estate for its WoF in a fortnight.

Fishoiled the MkII shell as it's going to be a while before I get back onto it. But I mowed the lawn so I will have more free time next weekend ;)

Friday took me just less than 4 minutes to get from the Gabba to to Lutwiche Rd - then Saturday took 33 minutes  It's the bloody traffic lights at the end of the run - dumb as!

received a "smooth" boot lid from the uk.. damaged! unable to send back because mum signed before she checked the package..

so i spent time filling the cavity between the two fiberglass skins with expandable foam!

oh it blows alright..

came up a treat though..i cant believe how weak those things are, you'd think they would be made with afew more layers!

The foam hasnt quite cured yet, although there is already a notcieable strength difference already, which is good.
