Hi Everyone.

Just bought my first mini. A very original red 68 mini deluxe.
Was restored about 10 years ago by 2 owners ago and just picked it up last week.
My new daily driver.

Mechanically great but a few surface rust spots to look at and a bonnet that needs some bad paint prep rectified. What is it with British designed cars & rust?

ausmini is great resource. I'm spending too many hours reading the thread and getting great answers to my questions. I hope I can add to it one day.

Regards,
Mark.

Hey guys. I've been reading the forum for the past few years on and off (since 2006) but I haven't had the money to get seriously interested in minis untill now. I was/am a poor uni student, but am in the market for a new, tiny, fast, and economical ride. The brick seems to fit the bill nicely. Now it's just a matter of finding one :)

Wish me luck

I have recently become the proud owner of a 1971 Mini K. Has some small areas of rust and a few minor mechanical repairs to get it up to a "reliable" standard.

I enjoy reading and learning from the forums and am envious of the cars and the achievemnts a lot of Mini owners in this group.

Looking forward to meeting other "hooked" mini owners soon.

Timbo

Hi all,

Just had to sign up again after trying to change email address. Had troubles re-activating account.

Unfortunately no updates on the state of the restoration of my morris.

Cheers,

Hi all, my name is Scott from Beresfield near Newcastle. my first mini was a clubman GT with wabesto roof, YG2S8 955 ENG #1205/1070 I wish i still had that one. anyway i have never not had one since. my current project is an 850 with 1310, GT brakes, broadspeed dash, having owned car for 18 years but never having driven it its time to get it all together and have some fun!! i may have forgotten a lot of things but i am sure with help, it will all come back. turning right, that could be a challenge.
So hello all.

Hey,

My name is Ross, I live in Adelaide.

Learnt to drive in a mini (mums car) and had a mini of my own not long afterwards which I tweaked ;)

Eventually moved onto other cars and when one was stolen drove a mini as an interim car ... just cant stay away from them !

Looking to do a project car with my son, with a few tweaks to make the car a bit quicker and bulletproof along the way.

Ive got so much to learn as it looks like a few things have changed since the 15years+ ago as i remember things and im sure alot more has been learnt

So now the hunt is on for a car !

Hello I'm Roald.

From Holland. Living in Almelo just a few kilometers from Mickmini(some people will know him from the story in TME).

Thanks to Mickmini I got to know more about the racing in OZ.

I'm racing a mini "850" from 1974 in the Dutch Autotest competition from the Mini Seven Club Nederland.

My biggest hobby beside racing my mini is to find a lot of racing history of the classic mini. So if anyone of you can help me that would be great.

take a look at www.racemini.nl

Some results of Mickmini latest autotests in Hollandcan be found here:
http://racemini.nl/html/wimedo.html

Hope many people can help me.

What ever you did
Dragracing
Circuitracing
Autokhana
Hillclimbing
Autograss

or any other race you did. Send me results, photo's and story's

Thanks Roald

Hi Everyone,

I'm Alex. I have been reading ausmini for a few months and thought its about time I join up.

I'm not a member of any car club... But probably will be joining the Nsw Mini Car Club.

I was raised around these cars. My Dad was such a fanatic he wanted to name me Alec (guess why), mum flipped so they settled on Alex.

I now have a collection of my own, 1 clubman gt, 1 SS mini, 1 standard clubman (currecntly under going ground up resto and hot rodding), 1 clubman that I intend on building into a rally car, and Dona the doner. There are another 3 mini's, 2 mokes and a metro that reside here as well, but they are my Parents.

Now that you all know a little bit about me I look forward to talking to you all and swaping stories, jokes and advice.

See you all soon.

Hi Leighton,

Hi Leighton,

Sorry mate, I'll get some up soon. Were you the guy doing the Mini for your HSC? I think I've seen your posts. If I'm wrong sorry, otherwise how did it go? Been marked yet?
