I figure that the 1100 would be cheaper I got a price of $500 for an 1100 and $1200 for an 1275. Both come with intake manifold and starter but need rebuilds

I though I would re-introduce my-self as it’s been years since I’ve logged on. My husband and I use to have a pearl colours 1968 Deluxe while we were living in Wagga but we sold it when we moved north. I miss that car….

We were miniless for a few years until I found my little Gwen! She’s a 1985 Rover Mayfair Automatic. Imported from Japan in 2010 and fully complied but not registered by the importer. According the QLD Roads when I registered her in 2011, she is the only 1985 that has ever been registered in QLD.

While she was in Japan, she was made to look like a cooper (but not in a good way) so she is a work in progress. I am trying to get her back to being as she was when she left the factory. Wheels, New decals and a new paint job are all on the shopping list and the search continues for a genuine radio headset but I don’t like my chances.

She’s a daily driver and my lovely little girl.

Yep...had one today...was having trouble with my ITB so the Physio says...whip your strides offf....and lay on your tummy...some pain and then GAIN!!!

Thought I better introduce myself, My names Chris, I live in Melbourne, for to time being, moving back to UK soon. Been reading forum for years but never managed to get approved until now. Probably didn't try hard enough.

I have a 2001 Rover Cooper Sports Final Run Limited Edition,
I am the 2nd owner, I bought the car in the UK and personal imported it in 2009. Car is currently for sale.

Reintroducing myself since the mini build has had a hiatus for the last four years.

I am Rob, formerly from the ACT now in Toowoomba QLD. Left Navy after 24 years of servitude and now studying as a registered nurse. SLOWLY getting Henry(1977 Mini S, 1018 with dellorto 40DHLA and soon to be having some SC12 forced induction goodness)back into a road going state and looking at catching up with the MOCQ fraternity here on the Darling Downs.

I'm Rob,

ive got a 1975 clubman 1000, has been in the family for a few years now, but its time for a freshen up and more relaxed life,

its now in the process of being stripped out for its rebuild, main plans are a bit of cancer removal, bit of work to the motor, maybe a bit more displacement

wanting to make it look clean but with a bit of a race stance,

nothing in concrete yet though, also has to be able to have 2 small but growing kids in the back seat when it gets a day out

will hopefully see a few of you around

Hi All

I thought i should introduce myself. I have caught the Mini bug and have a 67/8 deluxe that is gettiing a full restoration. I want to make a neat fun car to drive and tinker with.
I was also wondering if anyone has a list of useful contacts for all things Mini in the ACT.

Hello Ausmini!

My name is Tim. I've joined up here because my grandpa has a 1963 Morris Mini 850 which he has been talking about passing onto me and my brothers one day soon. It has had an interesting past and my dad ended up with it in the 80's before it went to his father when he needed a family size car. It's had a respray from all red to red with a white roof and had an 1100 transplant.

At the moment I drive this mazda3 picture here with the mini

And this 1978 Mazda 323 wagon (RWD), which I've been fixing for the past 3 years and driving over the past 18 months when it's been working. I've rebuilt nearly every mechanical component on this, I've got to learn a bit of body work skills though. I'm more into the subtle period modifications like the wheels from 1982 and various parts from Japan and US only cars


I'd like to bring the mini into more of a period restored condition, with my grandpa having made a few cheap modifications to keep it on the road over the last few years. The brakes are also pretty shocking as the car pulls to the side when you brake.

I've got lots of reading to do here!
