Went to Gran's place yesterday, tried to start the Moke, ignition light but click only. Returned with battery charger and tyre pump.

Happily, after 18 months stationary the tyres wer just down to 22 lbs and nothing appears to have become a home to rodents.

Charger ammeter never went up as typical with a flat bat. I think the batt may be stuffed. Went back there later today and after 24 hours on charge it cranked maybe 3 times then gave up. So it's over there with a spare battery to see if she'll go. Need to get her sorted for the Muster.

Slowly getting time to do some tinkering. Today managed to strip and sand the roof and most of one side back to bare metal, had to cut out alot of rust that the previous owner so kindly hid behind a shite load of bog. So the body work is well on it's way.

Gave the mini deluxe a check over as my daughter is going for a road trip tommorrow, 4 hours south of Sydney. Tightened up the top ball joints, greased, checked and adjusted the front brakes, adjusted the fan belt and took for a test drive. All seems OK.

Not too sure in the case of a mini, but Ive heard people use it in reference to a star washer.

Tried to get the mini started after being off the road for 2-3 years. No luck.

had a quick look at the cooper s flares on my S just realised they are missing the metal trim that goes around them anyone got the trim that runs down the side of the car and around the flares. or know where to get them. Car should be on the road in about 1-2 months.

it's not metal, it's plastic, and any mini shop can supply it - PITA to fit though. I'm sure your Dad has plenty of experience fitting it

Actually yesterday (Friday 3rd) left home at 5:45am went to Airport and flew to Sydney, paid for & picked up this

Headed home at midday, broke down after 5 klms, sorted it out (wiring fault), arrived home in Melbourne 10:15pm. Suspension pretty much sitting on bump stops, drivers seat not good - bit of a rough trip but good fun! :)
The Cooper S I bought last week

is on it's way, Tracking says it should be in Brisbane Monday Morning, hopefully in Melbourne later in week :D
