I'm KnK, and I'm from Wollongong.. I don't own a mini, but the plan is that now i have moved out of home i will be getting a cheapish one to 'tinker' with. Hopefully. I'm quite mechanically challenged (comes with being female, I think) but a friend of mine has a mini and is slowly instructing me...

Welcome Keryn, you can get heaps of advice about things Mini on AUSMINI!

The worst thing you can do is NOT ask your question!!

Do a sort of the memberlist on location and buddy up with some of the people from the 'gong (like clubby 75, CLUBMAN_CRAZY, clubby_crazy, kazzzy69, Kurross)

-=annmarie_13=- welcome also AM - do the same!

8) :D

I joined a while ago and havent done this thing yet, as basically im too lazy, so I thought i'd give it a go now.

As the name suggests, i'm miniless. I've worked on them, been in them and driven them, but have never owned one myself. Always looking at buying a mini, as i have the bug, but havent got around to it yet.

my name is andrew, i'm from perth WA
i have just bought my first mini ( a few weeks ago)... my friend is a mini addict and ive just spent the last 6 months with his in my garage for a full body resto (no mechanics).. it looks sweet now.. when he gets new tyres i'll post a pic on here (looks a but stoopid with yellow on his bald ones)

well when his mini left i had an empty spot in my garage to fill (my girlfriend believes that this spot belongs to her 78 escort that i'm in the middle of a ground up resto on) but i bought a 71 1100 mini van (morris not "minivan") i got it cheap (less than 500 bux) i think its because its falling apart and was smashed.. haha

well ive fixed the ding as you can see and have put mags on it (rule of thumb.. put mags within the first two weeks of owning the car to complete the initial bonding process)

but now i want to do the civic disc brake conversion.. (i already have all new drums, shoes on there.. had to to get me rims on.. and 4 wheel drums still suck)

i cant paint her till i finish my girlfriends car otherwise i will be sleeping in the back of it.. but tinkering under the hood she wont notice

i'm pretty mechanically minded and can work most crap out (i might not have the skills or the knowledge some times but it beats taking the car to the mechanic/panelbeater/auto sparky so i do all the work myself).. and always love a head start which is where this place comes in.. cheers for all the top work and if i work crap out that isnt here then i hope to contribute back..

and tops to that panel fix

with the girlfirned, its a mini, so should fit under your bed, or in your pocket
