Long time listener, first time caller :)

Just a quick thanks to Matt and Archie at Readspeed for getting my LS 1275 up to RWC and registration today. It's been about a 6 yr build to get it to this point.Image

Hey, my names Chris and I bought a 77 Leyland about a month ago, always wanted one so I bit the bullet and found one, has apparently had the engine and gearbox redone but has been off the road for 10 years, looks like a project that lost momentum, few dings and scratches but noting impossible to fix.
Hooked battery up and it turns over but does not fire, looking for someone who knows a thing or two about minis and would like to have a look at it, home brew beer would be involved. Out in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
I'll get some pics up as soon as possible.

There's a few nice modified minis changing hands at the moment.

Welcome to Ausmini Lewis

There are a few members on here in the Western Suburbs and most more knowledgeable than me. Start a thread with some pics and the problems you are having and I am sure there will be someone who can pop round to help. A western suburbs cruize to your place could be on the cards ?!!

I would just stick either in Minichat mate or members mini gallery, mini chat for any mini questions, help etc or members gallery if you want to start a thread with pics of your car and update it as you do work. Moderators pretty relaxed on here and they can always move something if they think its in the wrong place.

Hey there....I'm Roger and I've just joined after buying a 1978 Leyland Mini Sedan in iridescent 'snot' green.

She's a bit rough and the interior has been attacked by a 'racer-boy' who worked with MDF and dark grey hammertone paint

I had a '69 Mini when I first started driving and wish I had kept it....oh well.

This one is a project and I'm trying to decide which way to go....original or modded....mild or wild

Wish me luck

I've split Dugboy's question off from the intro thread. It stands on its own two feet as a topic. Its at this link here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=89365&p=974294#p974294

Hi everybody, my name is pierre I live in Paris in France, I'm in the far side of the world ! Sorry for my english level, this is not my mother tongue. I registered on this forum because there are a lot of informations about the tuning of A series engine, and you are passionate about mini as I am. I love british cars, at home we have several cars, MG, Jaguar and minis !

Sadly in France the MK1 and 2 are very rare and very expensive... So I have only "modern" minis, I have a 92 cooper and I restored a 89 standard 998 mini. Here a pic of the two cars, the white one is now finished :

It will be a pleasure to exchange with you.

Pierre
