Started drilling out spot welds on the front lower panel with a grinded down drill piece then realized i was doing to much damage to the panel it was welded to!!!! So i spent a huge 8.50 on ebay and bought a spot weld drill piece that should make life alot easier......
Then I cut out a piece of the panel to practice welding on, and managed to blow holes all through it!!!!!!

Pulled the head off the 1360 for a look, and to get it flowtested.
The MSC forged 1.5 rockers have done about 45,000 miles now, bushes and shaft are not worn, or the pads either. :P
That KMart KMX 20W/50 oil must be good stuff. 8)

Rebuilt a dusty old HS4 i had lying around, all pretty and shiney now with new seals ect etc... started to clean up an overflow tank i picked up yesterday.... (cheers Doc)

Now i just need to find the motivation to pull the motor out so i can change the diff and cam (anyone wanna help me???)

polished up a LYNX rocker cover to make it all pretty like...

and continued to sand back all the old orange paint :) to make way for the new orange paint

installed aformentioned adjustable bits (well 2/3's of it... need help understanding how to get the bottom arms out????) Hi-lo's and Caster arms were rather fun actually.... i missed working on the moke....

waiting on mechanical pump blanking plate before i start cutting stuff into pieces for fueling....

only other thing i really want to do now is pull out the motor and put a 3.4 or 3.6 diff init (as opposed to the 4.1 or 4.3 that is in there currently)
Then the only thing left to do will be all the superficial pretty stuff....

drilled out most of the spot welds in the front lower on my clubby.
the last panel installer has braised or lap welded the top part of the panel
so i gotta figure a way to get that apart without ****ing the panel behind it.
Also stared at the car for about 15 minutes and just hoped it will all come together soon :)

I've been slowly working on all the bits and pieces that have bothered me over the last 7 years and never got around to doing or didn't have the funds for. This past few months I've just splashed out, rolled up my sleeves and started ticking off the very long list.

- Dynamatted whole car interior
- New carpet set, new mats
- Repainted floor
- Sound deadenning for bonnet
- Redo rear parcel shelf vynl insert
- Fix drivers side door window winder (been bugging me since 2004!)
- Finally sorted out exhaust leak once and for all (Until the next time I hit a speed bump!)
- Sort out Dellorto jetting, filters and ramtubes (now running 40mm ramtubes and Pipercross double ram sock). Might go for a shorter ramtube such as 25mm
- Front/Rear chrome windscreen locking strip
- New front grille
- New chrome grille buttons
- New front and rear bumpers
- New Minisport 1.3:1 roller tip rockers
- New rocker cover T bars
- New accelerator cable
- New Cobra Classic bucket seats + subframes
- New Smiths 8000rpm tacho and chrome guage pod (bling bling!)
- Fixed hydro front sagging with new knuckles and spacers (Took it to Grieg at Mini Classic actually)
- New dished Motolita steering wheel
- Finally replaced Volvo horn push with original Morris M hornpush (been bugging me for years!!)
- Fixed the rusting parts of the roof sill
- Replaced indicator stalk

Over the next few weeks:
- Rear seatbelts and anchor points for baby seats
- Repair rust in A panel drivers side (big can of worms there)
- Repair passenger side door hinge
- Door pocket inserts and possible retrim doorcards (Went to Padstow Mini spares and repairs and they don't carry anymore pocket inserts. So I think I have to fabricate my own)
- Put in correct "Morris Mini 1100" badging and reposition on boot
- Remove Deluxe bonnet badge and replace with mini K badge
- Mini K Kangaroo stickers on A panel ready to go on
- Hook up original manual pump windscreen washer
- Fix battery tie down and cover
- Always dreamed of having a boot board...
- And a Cooper S boot lid trim

There are other small cosmetic fixes too not worth listing

Decided today that YES I will restore/rebuild the 1977 Clubby van for the missus. 8) This will be a slow rebuild (like Morris 1100's Cooper S).
It'll get the 1412 stroker that's presently dragging my car along.

Stripped the paint from a wee rust 'bubble' on the rear door step of the Estate, which lead to me cutting out a 600mm wide section of the step and finding the valance (beaver panel) seam is knackered too. I'll have a stab at making the repair sections as I bought a box pan brake especially for this.

Also trimmed off the rear bumper mounts and will run a rubber seam cover right round the rear, which will look a little neater. The number plate has already been relocated to one of the rear doors.
