Hi all, Melbournite here. I have had a hand in my fair share of rides (muscle, rotaries, VWs) although not for quite a few years since the kids came along. Looking to get into Minis most likely as a project car, it seems the most fun cars I have had are all the small ones, so I may as well go for the smallest!

Keeping my eye out :D

I'll be keen to see what you pick up first Electra. At least you have room for two minis where you once had room for one muscle car.

Hi, I am Mike and live in the East Brisbane area.
My first car back in 1977 was a Leyland Mini S. Then had a 1970 MK2 'S' Baltic Blue (ex-police) for 4 years before it was stolen and never recovered. Later had a Mk1 S (GTO green) with one of those horrible 'after market' sliding cloth sunroofs. Never worked properly, always leaked. Yes i was s....d to buy it!. That did the 80's for me. Later had another 1970 Mk 2 (Jet Red) before selling that one.
I have just purchased another 1970 Mk2 S (Red/White) which i reckon will 'see me out'!
Going down to the Qld Mini Muster this weekend for the first time and hopefully meet some on the forum members (and others) there !

Hi From Sweden! It’s been maybe 20 Classic Mini for me "down the road" since 1987! Today I own two Clubman 1275GT (-74 & -75) and one Mini Marcos GT -67! The -74 GT was transformed to round-nose when I bought it. The -67 Mini Marcos and the -74 GT, waiting for an renovation and is based in a barn for the moment. The -75 "Alan Mann" GT is my priority project now! Nice to be here! :)
My -75 GT project.

G'day Magnus,

You already have a nice collection, but another won't harm I suppose.

Welcome.

Mick

Välkommen Magnus,

Can you tell me if the "Alan Mann" GT was a UK Model?

Skål Mick

Many Mini owners doing a Works/Monte Carlo or Britax Cooper replica! I decided to do something different and take a look at Alan Mann LTD and there Ford Escort MK1 TC and there awesome Ford P38! I mixed the decal-attributes of those cars and made an Alan Mann Classic Mini! I’ll do the same back in 1992 with a Innocenti shell, and it result in the GT40/Gulf Mini! :)

My Gulf Mini I’ll built from scratch between Sep -92 & May -93! Today it’s Quaker State-stylish! I have some contact with the present owner!
