Just carried out a 70,000 mile service. Ya gotta love cannister filters but no problems.

Hope to get a little negative camber at the rear later today. It was booked yesterday but my alignment man cancelled. I'm wondering if it is even worthwhile because the tail seems to be very sharp as it is (standard). I'm going to try .5 degs negative and see how it feels on the track.

After retightening an ausmini member's S head today (which had mayo in the rocker cover, FIXED!) where all the nuts went down 1/6+ of a turn, I thought after 1800km I'd better do the stroker. Thankfully, all was well. :P Good gaskets these BK450s...

Def not now Doc!

They were gunna charge me $400-odd up front, then $440 a year on top of rego.

They laughed a bit when i asked if they'd come and clean the b@stards once in a while for that price   !

What my mate did with Barney (`67 S replica) was, he found the plates MIN167 (car matching green new england ones) were available at RTA. So he grabbed em. I think that was $25 too, only 5 or 6 years ago.
The buggers have got a fixation with revenue these days.

My only question is .. Why does it cost so much to keep number plates on the road ? When I can get my boat licence, pay a once off fee and then have it for life.

I would rather it the other way around tbh. *sniffles* either way .. the plates look great :D

Because it's "legalised thievery" , Bloody NSW , I 'd love to see a comparisan on all the other states to see just what the difference is.
