Wipers packed it in the other day, so with the downpour yesterday and all the running around I needed to do, fished out the Rain-X and gave the windscreen a good treatment.

Didn't need the wipers once 8) Good stuff!

I milled all 5 bolt holes in another new Quinton Hazell engine mount for my 1360 (their holes are all 4mm out of correct position!) and MIG welded 2 captive nuts inside.
Works for me... originality be damned!:P

I took out the old Mini K seats and installed Clubby seats :D Looks quite good. Made sure they were cleaned up and had seat covers.

Auto electrical man is on the way so hopefully indicators, fuel guage and temp guage will start working.

Wife sent me to TNT in mascot sydney to pick up my birthday present(dont open it until I get home, nag, nag, nag), didnt know what was until they bought the box's out and it said "Image Wheels, UK" on the side.

Now I have to figure out how to open the box without her knowing. :D

Took apart my indicator loom stripped the old connections and put new ones on. Seems to have fixed my issue. As for the fuel guage ... got that sorted. Helps to make sure that when you install carpet in the boot. Everything is connected when you close the boot  Honest mistake I guess heh.

I also purchased most of the materials for my dash. :D

Wheeled the shell and the moke outside of the shed because the electrician was coming to install lights and power points.

It p1ssed with rain all day so when I got home I had to bail out the water from the shell (moke has drain holes) but the electrician hadn't turned up!

I spent most of the day trying to get the clutch cover off to get to the plunger so I could change it and the lever arm and thrust bearing at the same time. Got the starter off OK although I am now wondering if the teeth on that are too worn? Then came the cover bolts. Only had to get to one on the bottom (other already removed). I asked a few questions about how to do it and found out it is easier to lift the engine a bit. It is now sitting as I left it because I haven't had to lift the engine a bit before. Feeling bloody useless but will try again tomorrow. If that fails I will try putting it back together and just stick the lever arm in and see if it works and leave it as is until I get the whole engine rebuilt. All part of the fun of learning I guess. :(

Bodywork, again. I dug away at a 1cm rust spot on the rear door sill only to find the whole thing knackered. So I cut it out.

Used my new tool for the first time.

Gotta love the chinese tool manufacturing industry...

And I painted a second hand bonnet which was much better nick than my one, and the driver's door. Unfortunately the paint, although colour matched by the paint shop, is a shade paler. However, the plan is to paint it completely but in stages so it should look okay.

I (Doc) cleaned (rebuilt, using comp diff pin and rover tab'd copper washers, new spider gears, new bearings etc) the diff with the crownwheel that will be used 2moro when changing ratio from 4.something to a much nicer 10" friendly 3.76

Picked up my cam from GR.... RE83 looks very pretty... got him to regrind followers, and tickle the head accordingly to suit cam.... all very pretty, for a very very nice price... 8)

Cleaned up the driveway so mini's can park in it in the morning

Emptied it of all the stuff being stored in it since our move. Hung a door from the ceiling of the garage and moved all the stuff up there Two sets of seat covers, new screen rubbers, new sliding window channels, mirrors etc - now it's of of the way I can work on the car easier.

Put H4's on the daily, holy night vision batman.

I highly HIGHLY recommend people do this, it makes such a huge difference, absolutely huge.

Only costs about $70 too
