Yeah, I think there is 3 of them.
Mini Club of WA
Mini Owners Club of WA, and
Southern Districts Mini CLub.

Hi guys,

My first car was a mini matic deluxe, it had its share of problems.Shortly after buying it I had to spend a small fortune (well it was to a first year apprentice) on importing a new transmission and replacing the wiring harness. It went great for another 2 years before being written off in a 5 car pile up, I was T barred into oncoming traffic and took out 2 crappadoors a honda and a fairlane
After that I've gone through serveral early Holdens a Toyota crown and am now selling my 2002 Sonata and am looking to go back to a mini again  Out of all the cars I've owned over the last 20 years the mini was the least powerful but the most fun, nothing compares to hitting 90mph heading down to Waterfall NSW with the mini shaking so much I thought it was going to fall apart
As soon as my current car sells (the next week or two hopefully) I'll be looking for a round nose sedan or PVan with a 998 or 1275 in it with no or little rust and no rice, this will be my every day driver so it has to be reliable. I want to spend no more than $6,000 so if anyone knows of one, pref in QLD but willing to have it shipped from interstate, please let me know.
Cheers,
Andrew

G'Day ladies and gents,

Just doing the introductions since I found a leaflet from '68mini'. on my daily driver. My name is Michael and I currently have a '65 Deluxe for the daily driver and a '63 Van for restoration project.

So I am curious to know if any of you wonderful people would know, either, where I can get some body work done or replacement British Motor Heritage panels that information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and enjoy.

cheers,
Michael

Welcome Michael...try http://www.bmh-ltd.co.uk/directory.htm# but really it would be way cheaper to restore a good shell sourced locally

Cheers 9YaTaH,

I am currently looking at the best way to repair the current rust holes that I have. I would like to keep it as close as possible since it a complete matching number's car.

If anyone has some suggestions on body repairs as I myself do not have the space or the equipment to do the the job. Problem with living in the inner city.

cheers,
Michael

i too live in the inner city (do all my work from me tiny single car garage..

all you need is a mig, some plate steel, few hammers and angle grinder..

compressor, spray gun, general workshop tools (srew drivers spanners n stuff)

it might sound expensive.. but so long as you have lots n lots of patience youll save yourself a fortune in the end.. i figure i can get a lot of nice tools and have a sweet looking car for the same amount of money one single spray job would cost (not mentioning rust repairs and panel jobs)
