Drop the pipe right off and try it. The top can be repaired with a kit from Karcraft if needed.

Took off the exhaust and the car seems to idle at lower rpms

I thought the problem when away but it reared its ugly head again... she ROARS then purrs.. the ROARS.

I am going to get a Reco carby.

My brother-in-law has a new coil for me too.. so I'll stop by his old place and pick it up.

When you nail it, let us know what the problem was.

Got it to go!

With all hope lost I decided to book the car in with MiniMax... so I thought I'd do the right thing and clean her up before I put her on a trailor.

I opened up the carby and re-adjusted the jet. I was going to take the carby off at one stage but changed my mind... but I did disconnect the fuel line from the carby.

When screwing everything in I noticed something... the fuel line hose clamp had dug its way into the hose... and basically choked the line.

I chopped the end off of the hose and tightened the clamp.

Started the car and it stopped ROARING!

I took the car to Max non-the-less as it still needed to be tuned etc so I thought I'd let him do that. He's also checking over a number of other things for me too.

So there you have it... something so simple yet so easily missed.

Thanks for all of the replies!

Jason
