hehe, done that too..
in a straight line..

but turbo cars, no not in a straight line, greenhill road, and norton summit / old norton summit road
which by the sound of them indicate the fact that they are nice twisty hills roads

Wow! A thread about me!
Then the old motor was tired. I had some new tyres and i didn't launch it real well. I bogged it down. Bugger.

The update is that...
It has a 1293.
Kent 286MD Scatter Pattern cam.
Balanced.
Lightened.
Pocket Ported Head.
45DCOE Weber. (5 Inch Manifold)
LCB Tractors.
Jun BL Muffler. Bloody Loud, Sweeeeet note. :D
(And soon some AO48R Advan sticky tyres to get it on the bloody ground...)

C'mon Willster, i'll give ya another run!!!

Great-you two can finally settle your drag.
Note-Definition or clarification of the word Drag....
Drag--pull --lug--tow--tug--yank..
Just more BS....

Yeah, i usually reel him in pretty quick.
DONT ask me about this bloody motor. It might be back together tomorrow, but we'll see. And then i dunno how long it'll take to get back in the car. I'm gonna sell it as soon as i get it back. My plans with cars in general have changed a litlle.

I went for a, (albeit slow- road speeds were within the limits of the law) bit of a drive with my mate in his NB racer one night and i thought to myself.... You know what? Screw the bloody stereo. And the back seats. And the carpet. And this square nose they call a "Clubman" I wanna go faster that my current car will let me.

You see, i dont wanna go cutting the firewall back or anything silly like cutting the 'arches for some 13s or whatever else to such a nice car.
So. I'm gonna sell my LS for around the $11,500 mark, with its new motor and all its shinyness. Get a Rover. or a morris. Preferably an early 850. That way, when i remove the seatbelts to put harnesses in, the cops cant do a thing about it. Same for the firewall. And the rear seat. And eveything else that i wanna do to the LS, but would otherwise ruin such a nice, and mostly original, and rare Mini.

Basically, i dont wanna hack up the LS. Rant Over.

hmm, like what i am doing with my non s, non ls, non gt clubby :D
i wouldnt worry about slicing and dicing the LS
first and foremost its not a GT
second, its not a cooper, so its fair game.
third, you've gotten the LS to a really good standard, it would be a shame to start over..
especially once you know the motor is perfect.
fourth, you will be hard pressed to get something that good for that money.

just dont go and buy an mr2

hmm, i would tend to diagree with that statement!! I think that it is as much a crime to chop up an 1275LS as it would be to chop up a GT!! I think 1275LS are a very valuable and collectable and desirable clubby these days!! Its this mindset that is getting cars like that chopped up!!

Good on ya stewy for wanting to not butcher the car!! I applaud you!

Um 1275LS... always had a big block lol.

LS has big cam, big head, big freakin bore.
Few thousand spent on the motor.
Just recently.

Mines just a smokey, tired old clapped out 1098 that someone claims to have spent $2000 on (before i bought the engine, from minitech) as a rebuild.
Yeah ****ing right.

The only races that you've seen has been when stuwey has had his new motor in. It was "slow" (compared to what it is now) back then, when we used to cruise a bit.

Ryan, how much did ya spend gettin ya work done on the 1098
