It doesn't sound like a bad idea, does it? Been thinking about it for months.
Research time

Feralsprint, i think you have the same aircompressor as me. sharp 75litre? Do you know anything about it, i was never able to find info when i bought it 2nd hand. I think it is 14cfm. Also just out of interest, is there anyway to change these things so they start running at a lower pressure? I think it starts up when it gets down to 120psi, which is very hi.

Anyways, those are some nice/large garages.

yeah that would be the one 14cfm, I got mine brand new many years ago form a mate who owned a tool shop, the head is from ingersol rand i know this cause mine blew up when it was only a few weeks old and they sent me a new one, mine doesn't cut in untill about 95 and cuts out at 135-140 from memory the adjustment is inside the grey box next to the motor, hope that helps its about 20 years old now.

Hey Feralsprint and Curly...
What are those ultra cool cars you've got going on there? feralsprint's looks kinda like a Bowlell Nagari... Kinda.
C'maon, give us the details!

The red one in the background is a '58 Bugeye Sprite - imagine a hot rear wheel drive 998 Cooper without a lid :P . The one getting the engine transplant is a '76 Fiat 124 Spider - not very common over here because they were only ever made in left hand drive, but sort of like a refined Italian MGB with a 2-litre twin cam, 4-wheel discs, 5-speed box and twin Webers. :D

The boys down at Brickworx stuffed a Nissam FJ20DET and gearbox into an MGB... Fun on tap. :D
