Whats the power output like between the two engines. and will you be looking at getting road rego for the car?

the vtec type R engines have a stock NA power of around 200hp

plus (and there are many) with the vtec you get the best of both worlds, smooth cruising cam profile and a raging beast cam profile once you hit 5 or so grand (no lumpy idle for you willy  )

plus you get the honda reliability. A honda engine can be considered low mileage at even 200 thousand k's... :) (i'm at 370-odd in the crv and it's still going great guns..)

Vtech mini

keep us posted on how your car goes with the rack moved, it can cause terrible bump steer if the geometry is wrong, how far did you have to move it

Hi Cody.
Come over to the dark side, and put a vtec in a mini.
The cradle made by ultrik looks exactly like the one I have but my one is made by someone else.
Moving the steering back shouldn't be a biggie, as that is how mine has been done and it wasn't much of a problem.
I will hopefully find out in 6 or 7 weeks when we can go for a ride. I might be biased but
go for it.
Cheers Paul

yeah mate... :) i am all keen now.. made my mind up and it will happen...

I did read somewhere there is a bloke in NZ building vtec kits.. :? can't remember where i saw it.. but yeah..

Nice to see a Vetc that actually fits inside a roundy without ext the front panel work,,,never really did like that idea

& to all who may very well be confused or might just think it,,,

"miniman" & "The MiniMan" are 2 different people

Hope this "imposter" realises that he/she might well be abusing the name sake

Please Mr/Ms "miniman" understand that my business name is my livelyhood,

You can call yourself what ever you like , but if people are gonna see replies from you & think that they are from me, then we`re gonna have to do something about it, BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

always seen the light...

What is this light that people keep seeing? And if all it does is make you prefer roundies over clubbies, please don't shine it in MY eyes!
