if anyone wondered, this is the car i was trying to guage your reactions to
http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10366
i was interested but the prices seem way out of whack with what i thought was reasonable.
obviously you all seem to have similar opinions.
ergo, i wont make an offer and insult the sensibilities of the owner.
thanks for your input , everyone.

you didnt say that you were even considering buying it,
and it was plain to see that you had started getting people annoyed with all your own cryptoneese

i thought it was straight forward :?:

lifes tough.
if anyone was annoyed, all they had to do was come out and say it.
thats what grown ups do.

i asked for his bottom line price,
this is the reply:
"Well for the shell car without motor and gearbox $6000 is my lowest with
motor and gearbox and runing $7000 and $7500 with rwc."

to exxy for me , just really wondered if anyone knew something that i was missing.

then again, i am known for stating that a lot of people have an unrealistic appreciation of their cars real worth.

Big difference in what it may have cost and what it is worth to others when you no longer want it.

Good luck to the seller if he can find someone to buy at that price - but it would be fair to say that it would be unlikely to be a buyer from this community - too much good free information sharing going on in here.

exactly.
to prove the point i have just listed my wifes car in the for sale section (any interest.....).
i know what i have spent but doubt if it will get any response , yet for a few days work it would become a great buy.

and

i expect people to prove my point further, by telling me its overpriced lol.

i can have a lot of fun with people who havent read this thread by being really defensive.
