next door has a 1000 ltr tank of it, I used it once, put a V8 block in it for 1 mth, it came out like new, smelt good too NOT i still have 30 odd ltrs in a drum.

I bought a tub of molasses yesterday out at Richmond, at a stock feed place.:)
$15 for 20L or KG or whatever. 8)

If you are talking cam bearings, don't expect them to be useable after... :lol:
why not just stand block on end, water pump hole at top, seal the deck of block with gaffa tape, and just fill the water jacket... :wink:
No need to dunk the bearings then.

It works great on rust, but note it is useless for grease/oil/paint/general crud removal.
Of course if that is the problem, you could always (carefully) make up a hot caustic soda bath... :lol:

good idea Kev, I was thinking of just filling a tub up to the level of the water drain plug and putting the block in upside down, but your idea is better.... they are new cam bearings

I always end up doing things in the wrong order :roll:

I am going to be following this small block rebuild closely because It is exactly what I want for the van. Might have to find out more about this GR Engineering ;)
