you could do like the south africans do to prevent car jackings. they have gas injected flame throwers underneath there cars. i reckon you could rig it up to the alarm so when it went past certain angle these things went off and toasted the little **** for touching your car.

haha...given the number of times car alarms spontaneously activate around my area it probably wouldnt be a good idea...this chorus of flame bursts down the road incinerating cats and other harmless bystanders :P

had another attack on my car last night. it lives on the street, so it gets the occasional idiot. in just over 12 months i've had someone snap the passenger side mirror off, someone try and snap my aerial, and then last night a group of wits doing a burnout at 3.30am followed by a very loud bang. we thought the car may have hit something, but it turns out it was just people egging my car. it made a very loud noise though, so i suspect they may have been hard boiled. going to grab it at lunch and take it to a car wash and hope that a) it doesn't smell too bad, and b) the damage isn't huge.

times like this make me thankful my car is such a shitbox to look at, because it'd break my heart if someone did this if it looked immaculate.

yeah i do - in Red Hill.

to be fair, i've been egged in Redcliffe, been near run off the road and had stuff thrown at me at Boondal, and abused quite a bit on the southside, so this sort of thing isn't just related to one area. it's just who we are as a people. if you accept australian "larrakinism" then you have to accept when it goes too far and becomes "dickheadism", which seems to be happening more and more in Australia of late.

had someone kick in the handle on my passenger side door :P never got it fixed...and you cant open the door from the inside anymore...have to wind down the window and open it from the outside :P

ofcourse the door isnt attached to the car at the moment...and i am prolly gonna be switching to 850 doors for the build...

thanks all, good to hear im not alone (although i know it happens quite a bit, i think it was hOnk that had a particularly bad run of luck)

im in the same boat as nermil, my car is not aprticularly pleasing to look at at the moment anyway, but somehow iahve found more people commenting on it??? eg "that is the most awesome car i have ever seen" or "thatis so cool" but not one "is it a cooper s" which i am thankful for

my car was egged again last night. this is after i had to take it to a carwash and spend money trying to scrub the last lot off. and again, my car was the only one they did it too. i am really not impressed. thinking seriously of investing in a 3 iron, and setting up camp for the night.

Just get a few mates together and record them yelling something like "there's the c**t's , get 'em" , or similar with big voices then wait with a camera , as soon as you see something take several photo's and play the tape , then run with your 3 iron , they'll think the cavalry's coming and it'll make your job easier , plus you'll hopefully have some proof to go and have a chat with your local police about the "ongoing vandalism" of your car . Otherwise you might run out with a 3 iron and be faced by 3 or 4 guy's who don't like being disturbed by 1 guy with a weapon .
