if you were man enough to run the red light, then be man enough to pay the fine.

if not just crawl back under whatever rock it is you came from and never drive again, save the rest of the world the worry that you will run another red and collect someone.

if you want to drive fast and not worry about fines and points, take it to the track. simple.

Huh....receiving photo is free here. For a while you had to pay, and then they realised it breached our privacy act. ie. all you're doing is asking for a copy of information that is held about you

Check the photo.

My father got caught by a camera in Sydney and the camera was faulty. After a few letters to the RTA and Police the case was dropped.

A mate in Sydney got the photo and it quite clearly showed him running a green light!

If all that fails start a thread about drivers licence numbers and wait till willy posts his details.

If it was me then I would pay the fine, but there was a car behind me. Also it is $230 so not just small change for a uni student. Especially when I was taking my mates out in the city for the night, Total cost for the night =$500 and I was driving!!!

So if I can get out of paying I will. Call me cheap if you like.
Called them today and I am going to have a look at the photo tomorrow. But you can learn you lesson without spending 1mth working for it.

The guy was RIGHT up your ass? but it wasnt you??? :? :?
Yep.

well with my two weeks of being in the big city of Hobart 8) , im slowly coming to terms with the traffic etiquette.
Orange light = go really fast and go through lights.
Red light = Go Really really fast and go through lights.

Its bloody ridiculous and pathetic and 'everyone' does do it. Im sure ill never do it, it just so stupid :?
But i suppose thats just how citys work?

I had my last and only fine in 2001. But I have been to Civic Compliance three times since then to see photos of a car registered in my name. You figure out the rest. :(

EDIT: If Sarah reads this, I'm dead.

The car is used by a number of people and I can say that I was not driving the car at the time. Due to us not keeping a diary or log of who drives the car, and when, we have not been able to come to a conclusion as to who was actually driving when the apparent offence occured.

My brothjer in law got off using this and he's a copper. So I guess it does work.

$230? Think yourself lucky.$300 in NSW!! The cameras take two photos. The first one goes off as a vehicle crosses the line once the light turns red.The second one follows a split second after to make sure there is actually a car in the intersection,in case the first one was a misfire. I think the odds are against you in this, and the other guy was just lucky.
You'll get about three weeks before a reminder arrives at your door, and the big guys called 'Max" will come around about two weeks after that.My advise? Start saving!

Gav.

i payed my 150 dollars today...got 9 points left....hope to keep them..only had my P's for 6 months or something..lol

What shits me is that i couldnt have prevented it..

it was on my way down to an aus mini cruise. lol.

the sun had set right in my face. a HUGE sun set. really bright. saw the light from a safe distance ..it was GREEN..

Then the light dissapeared in the glare of the sun...

I had just reached the other side and i saw a bright flash.. i dont think this was really fair.
