Turn a negative into a positive Em - find a sympathetic Smash Repairer that can do a bit more work than what they tell the insurance company, or will let you pay the difference and go the whole hog - get a full respray or whatever you want done to make her the way you want her. At least get something out of the bad crap that goes on here.

Sometimes I love Sydney, but things like this remind me of how shitty it CAN be.

Anyone else want to join my vigilante Group?? You need to be able to swing a sack of doorknobs - and provide your own door knobs!!

I hope the cop catch those fools and tho the book at them!
It really shits me that people can have that little respect for someone elses property, especially a classic car!

Emm

Go and see Rocky Canto in Wetherill Park. Rocky is a mini man from way back and knows his stuff. Tell him exactly what happened and yuo may be suprised what he would do for you.

He would be there this week but I think he will probably be in bathurst all next week supporting his son Dean.

If nobody local can supply you with a clubby door then I have a number although freight becomes an issue.

I think I know how you feel, em! I get so worried about my Mini's being parked places. People see a Mini and for some reason go stupid, want to pick it up, move it, tip it over.

When these people go stupid they don't realise that people who own Mini's are enthusiasts and love those damn cars.

Alot of the time it makes me want to drive an early 90's Corolla, or something like that as a daily. People don't even notice boring cars like that.

Yeah, i don't understand why... i mean. It'd be just as easy to tip over a Nissan Micra, Daewoo Matiz, Suzuki Jimny and any other small piece of crap. But they don't seem to get touched.

I'm glad i have a daily driver and can leave my mini at home. But if you do the sums... if i had only one car (ie: only one rego/insurance/maintenance bill) i would save enough money per year to fix any of this kind of vandal damage. It just saves me heartache, not money.

Sorry to hear it Em :(

Best of luck with the repairs and insurance company!

Although there are dickheads out there (as this proves), there are always nice people who are willing to go out of their way to help in anyway possible! All of the replies here have proved that

If there are any bits you need PM me I might have what your after, I have lots of clubby bits and peices.

Betty will be back better than ever and it is just lucky that they didnt touch her hot ass :)

Matt
