I reckon red is ur best bet just find a shade of red that isn't in the norm. This how it goes for me Roundy = Red, Clubby = blue or metallica blue. Moke = covered in mud!

a colour combination that i think would really nice is a rich cream with a dark grey roof. i have always wanted this combination on a period racing mini. it is not factory colours but i believe it wiouls look really nice. and i have never seen a mini with this combination. my brothers split screen microbus has this combination and every where it goes, people comment on how nice and classic the colour combination is.

I still recon dark orange with either, white bonnet stripes or a black roof. Orange with black roof looks good with tinted windows. If reds off the cards a nice green, I like BRG but it's not very original.
Cheers
Glen

Looks good - I think the big flares and wheels make it look good.

I'm only running 10" wheels - I think if you put those big flares on 10" wheels it'd look silly. Has anyone done it?

Unfortuntley this is not my car.. but a friends in our car club, said he was rebuilding his mini and this showed up, he even painted the under neath. The pics don't really do it justice.

It is my favourite mini colour and jumps out at you when you first see it.

He also sprayed it himself in his dads garage and it is not even 2pack,

My next mini will be this colour which is tweed grey and old english white roof

Hanra - you win dude.

Ford Monza Red with a white roof. I hope the guy does it as nice as your car.

How wide should the white bonnet stripes be?

J.

Ah ha!!!!! Choice! Dont forget there are a few different shades of Ford Monza Red available, My stripes are 4 3/4 in wide. If u look at the new Rover Coopers there stripes are a lot narrower. I think fatter 1's look better!!!

Thanks,

J.

Fatter stripes are better than old stlye skinny ones, I got 5 inch wide. My dad keeps saying we should sand it back and repsray it to original style (wasn't an original) having 4 inch stripes starting a 1/2 inch in. Nope go from edge of bonnet. 4.5 is good, and so is 5, don't go wider ot skinnier.
