I had the original radiator in the Mini recored with some sort of you bute core material 16 fins to the inch and it looks better than new - I hope so anyway it cost me $380 :shock:

You dont have to spend big money, but you can if you want !!!

However, after 30 years, there is a fair chance the radiator has a percentage of it gummed up with mud and rubbish. To a competant radiator man, taking the tanks off - "rodding" them and putting the whole thing back together is not big deal and a small cost in the big picture.

Do it as a matter of course. Talk to Colin Dodds or Simon Kerr if others want you to spend big money - it can be done cheaply enough !

I got my GT radiator out of storage today. It loks quite decent actually.

One thing I noted was the rad shroud seems 'shorter'. Is this a 1275 thing or am I imagining it?
