I guess what they mean (with all good intentions) is do you have two sets of jack stands?
Most people only buy one pair. I have two sets and a trolley jack and the number of time I've put the car up on both sets to work on it, would be more than just putting the front up......

I always put a wheel & tyre under each the sill on each side of the car though, as I don't trust the stability (particularly wen only the front is raised).

unfortunatly not... i need either some help from someone who is more mechanically minded to help me as opposed to my mate who hasnt really done anything with cars...

or i did consider taking it to brickworx to get the drive flanges put in.. but i really wouldnt have thought id need to do that... i mean ill shout anyone who is willing to lend a hand.. (assuming we get the engine in) a carton of Pallies or something... i really want to get it off of the jackstands and moving... got knows what people will do next...
