I found an absolutely perfect roof cage under my parents house back in January. It has been painted in some sort of rust inhibitor and all the fittings, including the rubber feet were wrapped up several layers of plastic bags so are in perfect condition also.
I believe it is just a little too wide for the mini so I was intending on having it cut and welded then chromed or powder coated.
I reckon it will look prety good.
Parents have owned the house for thirty years and they didnt put it there.

have a look in the member gallery at "Maxis 1275GT" from Ireland. It is the same, almost exactly, as his roof cage.

This one , was a few pages back and took a while to find it myself . Basically the 4 tyre sized roof rack , now I'm not sure which size I like better ....
