the alternator is charging but its not getting back to the battery?

Man, take it to a Auto Elec b4 it catches on fire!! Seriously. The charge cable only has to go from the alternator to the starter solenoid where the B+ cable from the batt connects to it. Its only 1 wire. How hard can it b to fault find that?

I spoke with my mate who worked for an auto electrician with a battery world attached to business and jsut woring for battery world (tempe). He is gonig to bring some tools over next week to check amps, ohms and volts, hopefully we'll have some progress. If not and if the car needs rewiring, where's a good place to have this done and what kinda cash am I looking at to get eh car rewired possibily even wack a new fuse box in as well? or is that lata question ore like saying how long is a piece of string?

Thanks to all who commented on this and gave advise. Fingers crossed I'll be back on te road soon.

I happy to announce that there was no bad earthing at all and the problem whatever that was is now fixed. A weight has been lifted off my shoulders now to worry about and fix other things.
