At long last I have picked up the Cooper!
This is how it is, I was going to buy it but managed to do a deal with the scrap metal guy who had it by giving him some derelict old cars in exchange. Suited me just fine. This is it as of yesterday when I picked it up. Windows will be in it this weekend. Not sure of the year yet, but the doors have been changed to wind ups, the sliding windows are now in the garage. Its a 998 Cooper that is in need of TLC but it will be worth it.

i still have the old door it is missing the internal panel for the dinow winding mechanism though, it is easier to replace the whole door. possibly puttng on 1 or 2 red doors soon anyway. 8)

the one you know of Jim is an Ecurie De Dez one. and the car itself is being used as a pigeon house and it has no floor left in it :cry:

The fiberglass roof could be reused but for the money the guy wants for it, making a replica would be much more economical :roll: :(
