I think thats exactly the point. $$ for value.
Yeah, hell a belt is cool, quiter, maybe a fleas nut more accurate but looking at the price of a new Rollmaster kit vs a new Belt kit... its obvious to me to go the rollmaster.

Even if I replace it I cant still get 3 for the price of one new belt kit.

Pete.

Indeed.

Plus, who really cares about the 'quiet' belt when we are mucking around with 50 year old engines and we are fitting performance items and performance engines make NOISE so whats a little bit of chain noise gonna do in the scheme of things :P

bring on the noise!!

karcraft list offset woodruff keys for that purpose, and vizard suggests making your own by filing and shimming. I shimmed the crank key on my dads engine with a small piece of 0.003" feeler gauge, beside the key and bent over at both ends - worked just fine...

jynx Kev...

edit on the above, used the keyed rollmaster chain setup, but the crank key was worn and had slack on the little gear... I suppose I could have replaced it

Meanwhile there is more stripping to do on the car...back later peeps.

Hooroo

I like the non-adjustable Triger, I just use offset keys from Minispares. Currently running a 4* one. I have keys 2*, 4, 6, 8, and 9... 8)
Oh and a 10* one I hand made years ago.

<edit> Karcraft carries the 5* and 7* ones.
