I was always under the impression that they were all black, and you could option a different colour. My Camino Gold 7/70 car has (original) black, and I've seen another Camino Gold car a similar age with (original) Parchment (I guess - kinda light beige), and a Camino Gold K with Parchment as well

very true, all written here, ones with Camino Gold Body and Turret too, also had choice of Black or Parchment,

and there was the Camino Gold and Zircon White Turrets pre 11/70 that only came with Black trim

Post 11/70 Camino's with Crystal White or Gold roofs only came with black trim

need to someone from MCCNSW to go to the ex-Leyland employees social club and ask them

Why I have it here and many former Members should have it

I was a teenager and mini fan in the late 60's. I would often go and drool over Cooper S's at dealers. A good low mileage S was about $2000. Them were the days.
I never saw a MkII with anything but black seats and carpet. I guess it is possible that someone could have ordered a special one off from a dealer.
From memory most MkI's had 2 tone paint jobs and interiors with contrasting seat/piping/carpeting.

Those were the days - my mum had the opportunity to buy a genuine cooper 's' for $950 back in the day. But her father being a mechanic wouldn't allow it as they were too hard to work on and they'll "boil their head off".

So she didn't buy it, she said if she had her time over again she would've just bought it as she had over $950 to spend on a car. Isn't heindsight a wonderful thing!

do you have a digital camera? if you line it up with no shadows or bright light and take photos of the pages, they turn out really well. I would love to see the details.

no-one from any of the mini clubs has ever mentioned the existence of it

ask about mate, the older members must have it at over 50 pages of documents I am not up for that sorry, funny how no older members have jumped on here and helped out, i know a teaspoon of history compared to so many other guru's, cant see why there so so quite, I have gathered up information for over 20 years, most I have to dig out, lucky I recently moved and now is at easier access, surely someone with more computer knowhow must have this on floppy disc or cd buy now

Thanks

Monte
