It is a very nice looking kar, it certainly has had the deluxe treatment.

Just in case anyone is interested in a few details here goes:-

MKI ran from YKG2S2 501 (Eng # 9F/SA/Y 36207) in Aug 65 to YKG2S2 5486 (Eng #9F/SA/Y 51767) in April 69 = 4986 cars

MKII ran from YKG2S4 501 (Eng # 9F/XE/Y 51373) in May 69 to YKG2S4 2919 (Eng # ?) in June 71 = 2419 cars

Total Australian Cooper S = 7405

Somewhere along the line there was a lot of fence jumping and anything that could claim to have a bit of "S" DNA added to the numbers!!!

Mk1 engine numbers are debatable with Rover Australia saying the first car had engine number around 9F/SA/Y 36110 and the last was possibly 9F/SA/Y 51767

The last Mk2 S produced in July 1971 YG2S4 2919 had engine number 9F/XE/Y 56258 . Numbers were pretty much random , with car number YG2S4 2058 delivered in June 1970 with engine number 9F/XE/Y 58514 , and car number YG2S4 2500 delivered in October 1970 with engine number 9F/XE/Y 55783
