Thanks for the dimensions, Sports850.

Yeah, just thinking more of a party sleeper than anything. Thats what I use the Escort van for at the moment.
Its also good having a van when carting around car parts.

Sounds like taking out the passenger seat and making up some sort of board to extend the load area up to the near the dash would give me enough room, 2.2m or so.
I'm only 1.79m high, and I tend to sleep bent up on my side rather than stretched out flat on my back.

Definitely something to consider then.

Cheers,
Ray.

Sounds like a plan . This has got me thinking about previous parties etc and remembering one bush party , copped heaps from everyone about sleeping bent up in the mini while they were nicely stretched out under tarps and in tents , till about 4 am when a hell of a storm hit .... Nice , dry and warm in the mini (even started the motor and cranked the heater for a while 8) 8) 8) :D ) while the tarps got flattened in the wind and too many bods tried to fit into overloaded cars dripping wet .

There`s no problem shagging in a mini van, :-) they`re perfect for the job :-)

I used to just turn the front seats around, drivers seat sat nicely against the steering wheel & the passengers seat against the dash & then just throw your excess clothes & stuff onto the area between the tray & the passengers seat to make it a level "Playing field" :-) easy-peasy, there`s plenty of room. Have done it millions of times.

Ahhh, so you good mates with Gene Simmons?

i've slept in my old deluxe, in the passenger seat after a really hard night of binge drinking..
i ditched my keys somewhere so i wouldnt drive home, and took me ages to find them in the morning.

wasnt too bad actually, it had highback seats but no recline.

I had a friend in Malta when I was young, he was from St Paul's Bay. He always slept in his Mini van when he came to Parties so he does not drive home drunk (Which there was no law against in Malta those days any way) But he was only 3 '5" Tall/Short. He used to have like a Booseter seat and extentions on his Pedals ! Drove the Van like he stole it. And it was only an 850. Pleanty of power for someone so small. He always used to pick up chicks. Apparently he had a big ..Heart or something.
