Love the wave. It makes my day on the way to work if I see another mini and we both wave.

Always give a big arm out the window wave, smile and toot.
Today in the moke i got heaps of love. A guy in a factory yard saw me coming from a distance and gave a big long thumbs up. As i had the canopy down a enthusiastically gave it back.
An apprentice in a tyre shop was close to orgasm at the sight of the moke.
Had school girls in shopping trolleys ovulating and screamin at me from the foot path, kids with toy guns in the back of a 4wd shoot at me, and my favourite, behind a packed school bus and them taking photos. :D
And i do wave at the only 1100 ive seen in town and he waved back.
Ah the unity.
As for binis, well they dont really get it do they. Im not sure it they should either. If they wave, i'll reply. Only happened once though.
Whether im moking or miniing its all the same. 8)

I wave at all original Mini drivers, and anyone driving an old British car for that matter. If i'm in traffic, i'll try and get behind the other car. Usually if any other older car drivers are around they catch on and join in the fleet.

I ignore Bini's unless they wave at me first. 99% of the time they don't even look at me though.

I had a red clubby trailing me on Sunday evening. As i pulled off and he/she passed, i stuck my arm out the window and gave a wave. They responded with a series of honks which was nice.

Find it very hard to get any acknowledgement from a Bini driver - not all of them, but most of them - my theory is that they drive one as a fashion statement, not as an enthusiast. I always wave at them, but hardly ever get one back, let alone a smile.
Clubbies and roundies drivers always respond, and I wave at pretty well any classic I see - got a big wave from a bloke in a Cobra today, and lots of thumbs up and a short drag from a bloke in a pristine GTHO - er, he won. (3rd gear Cooper S versus 3rd gear HO was always going to be a laugh!).
But it's nice when classic owners wave and acknowldege a fellow classic owner - brotherhood. :D
