Tiny there is nothing to be unsure of if you bag, tag and take photos of all things that are removed. The bonus side is that you have a complete running car to start with so that makes it alot easier than what i started with. If there are people willing to be there to help or just to guide you while you are doing it, take them up on their offer as you will learn their "tricks" and you will in the future be able to assist someone in the same boat as you are in, in the future. Dont listen to people who have negative opinions towards your plans but dont forget to put a realistic time frame for this "build" and stick to it 100%Mine (the first time) took me 6 months and it was a stripped out, quite bent, rolling shell (structure was fine panels bent) with a siezed 850 engine missing the head etc......panel, paint, sorce and build new engine and g/box, get all the bits for the interior, wheels, tyres, brakes etc, etc...its no show pony and it WAS built to be driven (not just washed and hidden) every day so perfection wasnt an issue.  my wifes one was similar but the body was half stripped of paint, the mice had been at the wiring and the l/h/side of the body (inc door) was full of bog there was an engine in bits that had had all the machine work done and required assembly the g/box was done and assembled (with good bits inside) etc, etc...... anyways from what it was to what it is now is a huge difference and is in the same boat as mine ....built to be driven....not a show pony .... but the colour makes it sure stands out!
Oh and hers only took 8 weeks to build........yes i had a day job back then working on f#@&ing french cars!!

:D I say go for it, dont be shy or you will never learn anything :!:

thats for everyone opinions. i realise how big the job is and the fact is that i cant see myself losing interest in tiny if i strip him cause for the past 3 weeks hes been unregistered ive been ripping my hair out trying to save up to pay for the rego. id be commited to the rebuild part provided that i can label and remember where everything needs to go for the rebuild. the panelbeater suggested to do a respray after the rust repairs cause he didnt see the point in me doing the repairs now and having to strip it down later to go back for a respray. he said that if he does it, it will be a typical customer job ranging from 3 weeks to about 6 weeks depending on weather humidty and whether everything goes to plan.

the help that i wanted was for juz the stripping down part and maybe the putting back together so that way i dont stuff myself up to servely. but this whole thing may no be happening for another few months so theres still plenty of time.

Why? It would have been a step up from being a groupie to the Village People. :P
