Thanks for the pics 1018, you went to a lot of trouble but it is a great help. Someone wrote "why would you need a fire extinguisher?". Well, two days ago one of my SU's got a blocked needle and fuel was pumping out (yes, pouring out) onto the exhaust manifold. The first I knew about it was smelling petrol in the car and then seeing the pool of fuel on the ground when I drove off from the lights. Didn't catch fire but wouldn't have liked a cigarette but flicked out someones window near me. Also, my commodore caught fire, I used two fire extinguishers to put that out (shouldn't have wasted my money). I was towing a caravan and didn't ealise there was no oil cooler fitted. It boiled the oil and sprayed it out the dipstick onto the engine. Finally, I have used a fire extinguisher on someone elses car at an accident scene. I think they are a handy thing to have. I keep one in the house and shed too.

No worries. Next time I would have a hole in each end instead of a notch, I just couldn't get the holes to fit nice for some reason. Once I yanked on it as hard as I could and it didn't move I decided to leave it.

Have fun making a bracket & geez you are lucky!

That's where I put mine too.

Ash complains about it because it is where she put's her feet (but anyone that isn't a leprechaun shouldn't have any problems :P ).

I made my bracket out of 3mm thick, 25mm wide aluminium. I even polished mine in the end so that it looks better. I can take some pics when I get home if you like. It is pretty easy to make the bracket up though.

After I put it in, I yanked on it as hard as I could and it didn't move, it is nice & secure and doesn't seem like it would break too easily.

I polish mine from time to time and it wont come loose.

mine in my mini and commodore are mounted under the dash passenger side, imo good spot and doesnt get in the way!

the one in madmk1 is on a board in the rear seat pocket , mainly for bling purposes!
