Now there are 104 different wheels online!

And again one question:
Are "Jellybean" and "Cheviot" the same!?

Thank you all for your contributions!

Cheers,
Jan

No Sorry they are not Mini wheels they were orginal mine and sold to Low n Blown. He had to Mod them :wink:

They sold them drilled for mini's as well , I know a few mini's up here that had them . The company mainly did wheels for race cars (formula Vee I think ) but would drill them for whatever application you asked . They were a smaller company around Wollongong I think ???

The Jellybean wheels were made by Cheviot. They are still in business, but don't seem to have a website

Yep Cheviot made a few other wheels too. I think those hotwires on the Fang are made by Cheviot too. That being different Hotwires to the Speedy Sprintwire, which is a similar design but has a different name (as previously mentioned).

<edit>I see on the site there is also the Aunger Classic. Isn't Aunger and Cheviot the same company? Or at least used to be the same company.

LS1380,,, your wheels are Tasman MK2 design

the MK1 design had the ribs sink or dish into the rim before raising back out to meet the centre, both MK1 & MK2 followed along very closely & very much like the dunlop MK1 & MK2 designs except that basically the main "Obvious" difference between the brands is the shape of the holes,,, the Dunlops have a triangular shaped hole (3 sides) & the Tasmans have a more squared-ish-triangular hole with 4 sides.

so, all up,,, there are 4 wheels that look similar to these
Dunlop MK1--> triangular holes & sunken ribs
Tasman MK1--> squared-ish holes & sunken ribs
Dunlop MK2 --> triangular holes & raised ribs
Tasman MK2--> squared-ish holes & raised ribs

Here's what's on the fang , 12 by 5 (I think , can't remember exactly though) and unknown brand as I can't see anything on them . Suspect Aunger or cheviot hotwire but not sure .

That Globe one which you say might be an aircraft one, isn't an aircraft one.

Most light aircraft use a split 6'' rim, they also have the brake disc attached to them and they are fitted on to the axle centrally like a racing wheel.

Cheers,

Gig

The """ "Unknown 7" Gemini ?""" rim with the mulit ribs i have a set here & they only have "Made in Great Britan" on them but i`ve been lead to believe they are made by "GT"

but i can`t confirm it

& in the 12" column, you list a """Probably wolfrace sonic""" they were sold on the Mtros in England & are commanoly called "Pepperpots" altho i`ve heard other wheels looking similar in steel as being called pepperpots also

There`s also another wheel on the std mtro called the ""Toastrack"' Ugly as sin rim but still,,, i`m sure someone likes them

& then there`s the Metro Turbo mag,,, i used to have lots of all those rims , sold them all tho

:-)

& Also if you can get onto "Convertable mini" on this site for a photo, he has my old 3 piece, 13" rims made by a company called "Di-cal",,, ive seen them on a few Triumphs also

Hiya!

And there must be different types of Mambas, as mine have the valve hole in the black centre part of the wheel, not in the outside of the rim, if you know what i mean :?

cheers! jon

OH!!!! & we can`t leave this one out,,, it`s """REAL""" History

Image

& this one that i had made up for my speedway minis, runs a bead lock system & zues fasteners for a mud plate too -->

Image

& then we also have these too--> another cromadora rim

Image

I have quite a few more pics of mini wheels in my computer, i`ll try to bundle them all up & send them to you,,, hee hee,,, this is why we stopped setting it all up on my website simply because it`s going to take for ever to corelate/organise
