I had my windows tinted to the darkest legal tint before the van was regoed.
Going through the roadworthy the mechanic was worried about legality of the sliding windows because when you slide one open it doubles the tint of the other! :roll:
My only concern is the bloody tint across the top of the windscreen, it's right in my line of sight. I need lower seats!! The Rover seats I've got are ugly anyway. :x

LS have a factory green tint from memory

Interesting.... I'll have to check, I have the original windows covered up in a box somewhere, should bust them out for a look.

The SS and LS had factory tinted windows. It is a fairly subtle tint (pale green) but obvious when put next to a clear window. Combined with the old black plastic louvre on the back (as was all the rage in the 80s) it actually did a reasonable job in cutting down the heat and right arm sunburn.

I live in Brisbane too and personally I think tinted windows on a classic looks terrible. If you don't want to get sun burnt on a long drive use;

tint-a-car's midnight express....in the future i might go darker for the rears i think (for looks and also security)....but the tint looks remarkably better on a dark coloured car.
