As for replica's. In my opinion if it goes like the real thing, and makes you smile like the real thing, whats the difference??

That works until someone uses one to get $20,000 for an $8,000 car from somebody ....

If you have the whole original kit: badges, rocker cover carbs and manifold and put them on a 62 850, do you have a Sports 850 or a mockup?

Also, were any Sports 850's put together in 64?

I have never been a fan of replicas. If I really liked the look of the original sports version, be it an S or HO etc. I may do all the visuals and mechanicals, but never the badges. It just takes it a bit far for my liking, and as people have said, parts get stolen or prices get fudged when sold.
Each to their own, but not everyone is honest when making a sale..

Always been more of a fan of a stock looking 850, with a screamer donk

You have a mock up even if all the bits were original from another car , they were never sold as a kit with the badges that replaced the front and rear ones , only as a completed car that was converted by one of two dealers . There was a kit sold with a single round badge that fitted to the grille though .

I think they finished in 1963 but not exactly sure , would need to see the cars history to prove it's genuine . They are a lot harder to prove they are genuine than they are to prove they are fake .
