The 30amps is the main ignition wiring.

I'm installing this in a floor mount push start car so it makes things simple.

In the following diagram the trigger button is the floor start, the reset is the key ignition switch. The device is a timed relay that actually switches the ignition.

I would like the delay on make relay to be one of these if I can get one

otherwise its a 555 timer and relay (all relays solid state to tolerate vibration)

Why add un necessary complications and circuits to the car. More things to fail and cause problems. All you need a good and strong starter motor like the ones I make. They are Bosch Planetary Geared ones. No hesitation there. They wind engine over like it has no compression. Regardless the advance. Ask may people who I have sol;d one to. Like Matt at Warwick for his race car. and yes they still fit behind the oil cooler. They are a starter motor that was originally designed and used on a 4.1 Ltr engine and believe it or not they are lighter than the Lucas M35 unit.

Are these pre-engaged? Are they exactly the same TPI as the flywheel? How much? ;)

Well for anyone that wants to spend $20 on a delay circuit instead I have drawn one up and am willing to build them and sell them to people.
Put between the fuse and the coil supply, it has a 10 amp relay and is triggered off a 'start' signal or the wire to the starter solenoid.
Approx overall size 30mm x 14mm x 25mm so easily hidden away somewhere, fully water proof, simply 'plug and play'.

If anyone is interested just send me a pm...
