69 Mk2 S stamping in drain channel


Ad yes it is stamped light. normally cannot see when full of paint
According to Graham in Aus prefix for an S (06) also stamped in channel
My radiator number is exactly 500 away (1158) But apparently not all followed this ridgid code.

Well, I certainly know for a fact that they were using some really dodgy trainees when they stamped the bulkhead number on our Mk2 S. . .have a look at it!!



These numbers were under the factory colour code stickers (you can see the outline of there the stickers were), so they are certainly original![/quote]


What happened there ? Do you reckon they satmped 1981 first the realised it was wrong so then restamped it ?

I think that's probably as good a guess as any!
