Well at least he was close to the hospital.

Sorry to see that Matt, looks nasty.

I think we've all done silly things that could get us seriously hurt. It's the easiest thing in the world to say 'told you so' or whatever afterwards.

I once, after the 4th attempt at re-wiring a plug without success (this was in the UK where up until 2000 electrical appliances did not come with plugs and you always had to wire them yourself) I decided that I couldn't be arsed screwing 1 little screw in to put the back on to the plug for the 4th time (all of 15 seconds effort). I then went to try it out and realised that it needed the appropriate force on the live and earth pins to get it into the socket.

i grasped it with two hands, with thumbs pressing down on the back of each pin and lined it up with the socket.

Next thing I knew i shot backwards 10 feet across the kitchen and was sitting on the floor in a bit of a daze. Hmmm 240 volts, :)

Get well soon Matt, hope it all goes well with your visit to the surgeon.

Maybe you and Bloke could get together and write some 'How Not-Tos' for the forum.

Oh Mate :!:
Looks like a nasty injury, it's always horrible to see accidents like that happen.
Let it be a lesson to everyone else on here too.
My advice to you now would be keep it clean and dry and don't use it, the last thing you need is for it to get infected.
Look after your self and good luck with the healing Matt.
Dave

I hate people that jump in with silly coments about what sort of idiot you are for doing such a stupid thing. You already know what sort of idiot you are, there is no point in reminding you.

We have all done stupid things over the years. But you are a champion.

You are so lucky bro, for 2 reasons ,
-Don't you know they use mini fans for mincing machines?
-That was your right hand, so you can still operate the handbrake at Hay.

My mate stuck his hand in the prop of an rc plane... That was pretty ugly too.
