I'd be pretty pi$$ed if I was you, in that situation it's not hard to see in a mirror :x Wherever you get it repaired tell them it's the cops that are paying and tell them to take their time and get it done perfectly, tell them you don't want any bog in the panel, I'd treat it as a blank cheque.

Yeah, but if you try too hard the insurance companies would prefer to write the car off....
Some government bodies self insure, some don't.

They can't write the car off. It is not their car to write off.
They have done a certain amount of damage and they are responsible to fix that damage.

No point, being angry doesnt get you anywhere, and they admitted fault, were embaressed about it and were honest about their mistake.

Only hope it doesnt take forever to get the claim back.

into on new years eve the last 2 years.
