I have done cars alot worse than that. I cut them thru the pillars so that all the rust can be removed. One problem when you cut/shut like that is to make sure the window shape/size is spot on or the rubbers do not fit properly or the glass is distorted and CRACK.
A bit of time spent setting it all up before attacking with a grinder can save a lot of trouble later.
Try cutting the roof down rakeing the front/rear screens and getting the curve of the roof right like I do on the sprints. :shock:

Hi David,

I'm 6'3", (and yes they do stack sh1t that high :lol:) so I won't be running out doing a chop top any time soon. Sorry about my comments earlier, it was more of another idea than anything, just trying to save you some time. For a job like this one I WOULD without question jig it. I was under the impression that it was just a roof replacement, but this is more like a frankenstien make over. Good luck with it.

PS I'll post some photos of the GT that i will be starting on in the near future.... You recon you've seen rust problems... HA!
