You can have cloth AND vinyl if you choose wisely. These are mine in my daily driver GTI.

are they aftermarket or VW specific?? they are REALLY NICE!

I have a velo Milano and it is very comfy and holds you in tight, they aren't that expensive either and you can get them locally
(about $450 each plus frame which bolts straight in and they are lightweight fibreglass)

So what did you end up getting?

Reading all the posts there seems to be two choices:

1. Choose your look: Classic look or new sports look

2. Decide on budget: Cost (lowest = Cobra > Recaro > Sparco = highest)

I'm at the same decision point myself and can't decide! :oops:

i like the new sports look... the cobra but to go vinyl or cloth???

made a call on the RECAROS... VERY PRICEY... $2,200 A SEAT + $385 FOR RAILS.
