Yeah there's no need for roadworthys here unless you get a major defect basically. Putting a 1275 in 998 or 850 will require a full inspection, but otherwise roadworthys are a rare occurance.
Phreak should be alright. There's worse cars on our roads! And I say good on ya for trying to fix it, I wouldn't bother personally, too much body work. I deseamed (well I finished, previous owner started) a '77 LS and that was the easy part of the car, the hard part was welding holes in the roof that I could fit my hand through.
You should check the deseaming and check that it is welded throughly but don't be too discouraged by the comments of some people, they are only thinking of your well being. However, not everyone has a degree in Mechanical Engineering but everyone does have an opinion. But in the end it's just another old car on SA roads that's been saved for the world to enjoy later on when there are no more left regardless of how safe or unsafe it is.
